Inspired by the Iban or Sea Dayak culture, this costume was designed to imitate the war suit worn by the Iban people, reflecting their reputations as fighters and warriors.
The concept of this costume was derived from the feather of the Burung Kenyalang which symbolizes the spirit of god as it is an important cultural symbol for the Iban people.
The intention of this project was to design and propose a display kiosk with an area of approximately 36sqm and a height of 3 mete. A display kiosk that is located in the India Street Pedestrian Mall, Kuching, was designed by using minimalist architecture while still maintaining its function which to act as a platform to showcase the fashion garment, and be able to allow an easy circulation for 2-4 person at a time. By using lightweight material such as timber and applying a special mechanism to this kiosk, it allows the kiosk to transform into two form, depending on the condition of the surrounding.
The design of the MONO:CRETE bus stop was thought of being functional sculpture that can provide a comfortable seating place where it can be put on any site within the MBKS area. The bus stop is located in front of the KMC Flat along side Jalan Ban Hock where it is surrounded by the commercial and residential area and has a maximum floor area of 20sqm.
The design of the bus stop was inspired by the existing bus stop itself where the design was improved by using minimalist architecture to attract more people while increasing the seating capacity will maximum usage for the people in the area. By using concrete as the main structure and timber for the seating, it will give a maximum human comfort towards the bus stop.
