SANTUBONG were design based on the legendary itself. Thus, a princess look alike garment is created. Other than that, elements what are Sarawak well known of are added to add a little bit of spice on the garment. The headgear was inspired by Terendak Melanau which obviously represents the ethnicity in Sarawak. ‘Perauk tambang’ represents that there are still some part in Sarawak uses perauk tambang as their transportation. As for the skirt, it was inspired by one of the famous building in Sarawak, Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN). All together in one garment represents Sarawak well.
Inspired from the garment in previous Project 1, pleated elements was taken and further develop and became one of the main elements for TERATAK. With a circular floor plan, Teratak only allows one pathway which has one entrance and one exit. Garment display will be placed in the centre of the front kiosk as the main attraction for people to walk in and stop by. Wall panels and the roof is not fully covered in order to allow more natural sunlight and ventilation to enter.
Relating back to Jalan Ban Hock, UCITY represents unity and simplicity. Unity; living harmoniously among different races under one community. Simplicity; relates to the flat’s surrounding. Therefore, geometric shapes are used for the main structure of the bus stop.
