Rawesum is a combination of warrior and museum. It is an approach to introduces a new warrior armor that was inspired by the Sarawak Cultures Museum. The bones of the garment were interpreted from the column and structure of the roof. The skin were interpreted from the pattern of the walls and also the roof.
The approach would be the same as the garment which is to clearly differentiate the skin and bones of the structure. The kiosk is an open space that can be retractable to accommodate the tight spaces in India Street, Kuching. Overall idea is to keep the balance and symmetry from the garment and to apply it to structure of the kiosk.
The bus stop is located between the Kuching Municipal Council (KMC) Flats on Jalan Ban Hock. It gets its name from the classic Malay word "Kirana," which means "lovely". The major goal of the design is to build a bus stop with a beautiful view of the KMC Flats and a pleasant social space for the community. Given the opportunity, Kirana is set to become a new landmark at the location at the site, and also promotes the planting of the KMC residences.
