"Melinau" means Karst Formation that was formed in the limestone long time ago and occurs at the edges of the plateau or valley from water percolating through the soil
This razor-sharp edges design also represents the challenging and toughest hiking trail in Malaysia
Its dramatic and classic contemporary sculptural silhouettes is the main focus of the design.
Melinau Limestone formation is exposed on northwest flank on the Mulu range. The formation reaches a maximum thickness of 2.1 kilometres. It consist of wall cemented, partly crystalise, grey to white.
The design was inspired from the Karst Formation.
The Karst was abstracted inro modern and contemporary with the use of repetitive lines.
Therefore, the guest will experience the cave like kiosk imagining in Mulu Cave.

Focus mainly on the construction method using metal mesh and wooden battens because it is very easy to find and cheaper and easy to construct.
The shapes of the bus stop itself was inspired from the fodder shapes when it rolled out. For me this shapes contrast with the surrounding area because, most of the design around the proposed area is very like squarish and boring so this design shapes can contrast with the surrounding.
