"Stark Karst"
The inspiration of the garment emanate from the prominent natural landmark in Sarawak known as the Mulu National Park. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses caves and karst formations. The majestic mountain situated around green lush of equatorial rainforest. The formation of karst gave rise to the prominent appearance of the pinnacles laced with green trees.
The signature look of the garments is the abstract representation of the pinnacles laced with greens. The pointy glimmering rhombus resembling the geometry of the pinaccles and karst formation paired with the glimmering green rhombus scale skirt resembling the rainforest creeping from the base of the mountain to the pinnacle. The rhombus geometry creeping from bottom to top; wrapping around the body to head mimicking the formation of the karst becoming the peak.
The stark appearance of the rhombus geometry also function as a visual defensive mechanism mirroring prickly design in nature such as prickly fruit or cactus. With the peculiar appearance, the garment has the perfect feature to repel close contact between human which accomodate in time of Covid 19 crisis.
