The precedent study is based on a riverside/ boardwalk activity at an urban area in Malaysia or overseas. Students are to study in detail the space planning and design elements of the building/ linkages, discuss the interesting features of this development and demonstrate the understanding of architectural elements, environmental factors or the existing site context that contribute to the success/failure of the design.
The shophouse lot is revitalized as a mini cultural museum with programmes such a digital archives, library and also a rooftop viewing. It is to inform about the history of blacksmith road and keep past culture alive. At the same time, it encourages tourism and local economy gathering community through its viewing experience since its distance towards the street market is only at a 20 meter radius.
This project is a digital sports centre that is located at jalan padungan, kuching which is a in the middle of a heavy commercial centre. The design is intended to include and encourage the participation of senior citizens together with the younger generation to access this new generation of digital sports and recreation. It is design as inclusive, porous and accessible in nature.
