Lorde's stage name bears her fascination with "royals and aristocracy"; she added an "e" after the name Lord, which she felt too masculine, to make it more feminine.

Lorde is a self-identified feminist.

Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O´Connor better known by her stage name Lorde, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and record producer, known for lyrics exhibited a mature worldview.

She was born on November 7, 1996, in Auckland (New Zealand). Her mother is a poet, her father is an engineer, she has two sisters named Jerry and India, and a brother named Angelo.

Lorde became an international crossover hit in 2013 with her debut Studio album “Pure Heroine”. The album´s debut single was “Royals”. It made her the first female artist to win an MTV video award and the youngest pop star to achieve this since 1987 and she also won two Grammys. Lorde also performed on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

She won the Brit Awards International Female solo Artist in 2014. This artist is triumphing being successful all over the world.
