CATE BLANCHET

Catherine Elise Blanchett was born in Merbourne on the 14th May 1969. She is an Australian actress and theatre director.

She is the winner of the 4 most important film awards. She has won two Oscars, three Golden Globe Awards, three Bafta Awards and three Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

She has played roles in films such as "The Aviator", "Blue Jasmine", "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", "The Lord of the Rings" or "The Talented Mr. Ripley".

In January 2018 Cate Blanchett recieved the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum in Davos for her work with refugees. She made a powerful speech because she herself visited those refugee camps and saw the hard conditions in which the refugees lived.

She also considers herself a great feminist and a strong fighter for women's rights.
