CINDY CLASSEN

Cindy Klassen is a Canadian speed skater. She was born on August 12th, 1979 in the city of Manitoba, in Winnipeg.

Before becoming a speed skater, Cindy played ice hockey and was a member of Canada’s lacrosse team. In 2003 Cindy suffered a freak accident during a training session and spent one year without competing.

After recovering from her injury, she won five medals in Turin, Italy, during the 2006 Winter Olympics, one gold, two silver and two bronze. Cindy Klassen is the Games’ most successful woman and as the most decorated Canadian Olympian of all time.

She retired from competitive skating in June 2015.
