TU YOU YOU

Tu Youyou born in Ningbó, China on December 30, 1930

She´s a Chinese scientist, a doctor and a pharmaceutical chemist, known for the discovery and development of artimisinin, used to treat malaria, saving millions of lives in China, Asia, Africa and South America.

For her work, Tu received the Nobel Prize in Phsysiology or Medicine in 2015, becoming the fisrt female Chinese person to receive the prize.
