Jirina Sejbalová

She was a Czech film, theater and TV actress. She was born in Prague from a family of employees, in 1905. She died in the same city in 1981 at age 75.

She studied at the Prague Conservatory. Her career began as an opera singer at the National Theater of Brno. She acted in the drama The Divorce of Mrs. Eve in 1937.

She abandoned her opera career and began working as a dramatic actress.

As an actress, she made her debut in the film Hank a Jindra. She made thirty six movies.

Her two most important films were :

- Moralka Pani Duské (1958).

- Zlatá Svatba (1972).

She was a member of the National Theater of Prague from 1928 until her retirement in 1971.
