How to support your child's education and development
Parent-School Communication
Class Teacher: For any learning and student well-being conversations, suggestions or concerns, your child's class teacher is the first point of contact. Your child's teacher is the primary relationship manager when it comes to student wellbeing and academic progress. Strong parent-teacher partnership starts with regular communication between parents and the teacher.
Discovery Hotline - 0781111002: Our hotline is always open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, please send a message for a quick response. For operational, day-to-day, finance and administrative queries, please use call/WhatsApp this line; you can also send a quick email to info@discoveryrwanda.org.
Class WhatsApp: Your child's class group will be regularly updated; remember that the group content should only pertain to messages that are relevant to the whole group. If you have a concern about an issue specific to you or your child, please contact the teacher privately through their inbox or direct sms/Whatsapp. For concerns about policies and guidelines, we recommend that you contact the teacher directly or the heads-of-department listed below, instead of using the Whatsapp Group.

Communication hours: Please contact teachers or other Discovery staff before 5.30 pm. Please note that messages and phone calls to teachers can only be responded to after children are dismissed or are under the care of another adult. During an emergency or exceptional circumstances, Discovery staff always endeavour to make exceptions and respond to queries as soon as possible.
