Once again, we had great results and a 100% pass rate on average in our Cambridge End of Primary results!

We congratulate the class of 2022, their parents, and the teaching team on the successful completion of primary school at Discovery.

This year we have Two Outstanding Achievers with excellent Cambridge Assessment Results.

At the end of primary, our students demonstrate a comprehensive and secure level of understanding, knowledge, and content mastery, they are well prepared for secondary school.

We are proud to have a strong primary section where end-of-primary assessments are marked by independent accredited bodies in the UK and this year in, France. 

Our approach builds student capacity from the early years through to primary, and we see the excellence affirmed internationally as each class completes their primary with us.

Discovery Kibagabaga is ready!

• Our second location is ready for Discovery families

• If you live or commute around/via Kibagabaga, Kimironko, Kinyinya - this campus is for you

• If you have children aged 1 to 5 years in the French section - this campus is for you!

• The English section in Kibagabaga will be provided upon demand

• Our mother campus in Gisozi continues to host all sections and all levels as usual

• The Kibagabaga location is a rented building, we continue our plans to develop an additional campus of our own

• Kibagabaga Bus Service: If you have primary students and you would consider the younger one(s) joining Kibagabaga, we have a bus service to take Primary students to Gisozi, you would only drop them off in Kibagabaga and pick them up from there.

Classes start soon!

• Students aged 6+ start school on Tuesday, 23rd August 2022 (Year 2/CP and above)

• Students aged 1 to 5 start school on Wednesday, 24th August 2022 (Year 1,  GS, Maternelle/Nursery)

Tuition increment updates

• Tuition has increased for students who have been with Discovery for 2+ years

• Increments range from 10% to 30% depending on the years at Discovery at a fixed tuition rate

• Students moving from the 5 and 6-year-old classes also pay primary rates and will experience a tuition increment for the change in levels

 Access Cards

• Discovery Access Cards are available at our front desk, please clear with our finance desk to get your child's card

• Termly tuition payments are ongoing and should be cleared in advance and before the start of every term

• Access cards are required at student arrival

2 and 3-year-olds starting school for the first time 

• For 2 and 3-year-olds starting school for the very first time, this is a special time for both a child and their family.  The key to success is trust, positive communication, and forming a strong partnership with the school early on.

Important arrival and dismissal information 

• All students aged 5+ are in the full-day program

• The school gates open at 7:40 am

• Half-day students will be picked up at 12:30 pm (this will only apply to a few children aged 4 and below)

• All full-day students will be picked up at 4:00 pm

• Pick-Up cards are required at student dismissal

Before your child reports to school...

• Submit all required documents

• Process your access card and pick-up cards 

• Bring the following material when you come to pick up your child’s access card:

• 3 packs of  dry tissues 

• 3 packets of wet wipes or 6 packets of wet wipes (children still in diapers)

• 500mls to 1 litre of hand sanitiser; 

• Please note that students are requested to wait and report to school after they get their new Access Card
