Classroom assistants and para-educators

Discovery International School is hiring dynamic classroom assistants! 

The ideal candidate must deeply enjoy working with young children and be open to learning the Discovery approach to education. 

Our classroom assistants must be very fluent in either English or French. Our ideal classroom assistant would confidently master both French and English. 

Candidates with experience of working in education and/or in special educational needs support are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Candidates with experience in delivering the international curriculum in early childhood or primary education are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Discovery classroom assistants must be available to work from 7.15 am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday and occasionally during additional hours as required. The work commitment is for a minimum of 12 months. 

All applicants will start with a 3 week internship period of engagement. 

Relevant work experience and qualifications will be an added advantage but are not mandatory for the classroom assistant role; a willingness and ability to learn, grow and take responsibility is indispensable.

Finally, successful candidates should be able to interact in a confident, friendly, warm manner with our children and to build strong, professional working relationships with their colleagues.
