3rd June Dress-code Announcement ‼

Tomorrow, Monday 3rd June- all students will put on their blue Discovery t-shirt with black or navy bottoms/leggings. 

This is part of our World Environment Day celebration.

Term 3 Field Trips

Some of our early-year classes and primary classes have already completed their exciting excursions. These trips have been both educational and fun, if your child has not had their 3rd term field trip, look out for a message from the class teacher over the next few days. 

8th June (Saturday): Club Demonstrations

8:30 - 9:30 AM  (Robotics 1, Chess, Taekwondo 3-6 yrs and Basketball 7-8yrs )

9:30 - 10:30 AM  (Soccer 3-6 yrs, Taekwondo 7+, Chess 9+ )

10:30 -11:30 AM (Basketball 9-12 yrs, Robotics 2)

Venue: Discovery Gisozi

Dress code: Discovery Tshirts and black/navy shorts or leggings

Join us for a fun and engaging morning!

10 - 14th June: End-of-Year Assessments & Class Visits

• All primary classes will be doing assessments

• Early Years classes (Ages 2 to 4 years): Parents will visit classes to check on student work and progress

21st June (Friday Afternoon, 1 pm)  - Primary Graduation and Primary Art Festival

--- Final Club Presentations

 Ballet, Traditional Dance, Piano, and Saxophone (as part of the primary end-of-year event)

-- Primary Art Presentations - 1:00 - 2:30 pm

-- Graduation (Year 7/6e) - 2:30 - 3:30 pm

--Closing Art Presentations - 3:30 - 4:30 pm

--Venue: CCR Gacuriro

--All parents will take their children home right after the event

Confirm your child's place for the next academic year

• We are planning for the next academic year and allocating classes, rooms, and other resources.

• Secure your child's place: Pay registration and annual resource fees as soon as possible. Our finance desk is open to process tuition and related fees 

Tuition and Fees Payment

Remember to clear all pending fees and any charges related to school fees, sports kits, fieldtrips, photos as well as any exam fees that are due or overdue. Always send proof of payment to the admin line 0781111002 and to finance@discoveryrwanda.org

Important Notice: Late Pick-Up Fines

As we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, we kindly remind you of our late pick-up policy.

Late Pick-Up Charges:

• For every child picked up late, there will be a fine of RWF 25,000 for the first 30 minutes.

• An additional RWF 30,000 will be charged for every half hour thereafter.

Full Day Students:

• On full school days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), please pick up your child between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm.

• Parents with children still on school premises at 4:15 pm will be subject to fines. This policy applies to all days of the week, including club days.

Club Days:

• On club days, collect your child immediately after their last club or no later than 4:00 pm.

Half Day Students:

• For half-day students not participating in clubs:

  • Pick-up time is 1:00 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

  • Fines will be applied from 1:40 pm.

• For children aged 4 and below on half days:

  • Pick-up time is 12:30 pm.

  • Fines will be applied from 1:15 pm.

Other Reminders:

• Fines must be cleared within 24 hours via Mobile Money.

• Prompt pick-up allows our team members to attend evening classes and fulfill family obligations after their long workday at Discovery.

• If you anticipate any difficulties with pick-up, please make necessary arrangements well in advance

.

Discovery T-shirts for all presentations and field trips!

• All Discovery students should have a Discovery t-shirt for their field trips and on their Sports Day

• Click here to order your child's T-shirt

• Students should put on plain black or blue pants/shorts for their field trips

• Prepare navy blue or black shorts for Primary Sports' Day (Ages 5+)

• If your child already has the blue Discovery t-shirt from last year and it is in good condition, you do not need to purchase another one
