Sports Day Houses

Karisimbi House (Red): House of Honor 

Akagera House (Orange): House of Harmony

Nyungwe House (Green): House of Resilience

Kivu House (Blue): House of Empowerment

Sports activities will be competitive and will be held in four houses/teams, each team will have students aged 6 to 11 years. 

On Sports Day, parents and relatives are requested to dress up in the child's team color and to come ready to support their house. 

For interested adults, we shall have house t-shirts on sale for you too. 

The winning house will get a gold cup!

NB: Primary Students will need a new t-shirt and a pair of uniform shorts for their house color.

Bring a well-labeled drinking bottle for your child. We want everyone to stay hydrated and energized! We will also have drinks for re-filling and snacks on sale.

Tips for Encouraging Good Sportsmanship

• Praise effort, not just outcome.

• Discuss what makes a "good winner" and "good loser."

• Teach children to congratulate their competitors.

• Emphasize the importance of following the rules.

• Model good sportsmanship yourself.

• Support them with fitness activities at home

Don't forget to bring an umbrella to all Discovery outdoor events, just in case the weather fails us.

Make sure your child arrives at school at least 10-20  minutes early so you don't miss the start of the festivities.

Parents present will take part in fun races with their children.
