Early Years Art and Primary Science Expos are taking place this week!
We have an exciting week ahead! Students from ages 2 to 11 at Discovery are working on various art and science projects and they cannot wait to share their results with you.
From our Early Years students, you can expect to see artwork inspired by various artists including Picasso, Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Eric Carle, Paul Klee, Kandinsky, Kusama and Miro!
Primary classes will present science projects tackling interesting topics, including energy, plants, animals, habitats, infectious diseases, states of matter and the human body!
The Primary Art Expo will take place in January 2023.

All Discovery students should have a Discovery t-shirt for their presentations this week
We have field trips coming up and all students put on Discovery uniform for those as well
Click here to order your child's T-shirt today or tomorrow, they will be distributed this Wednesday morning at 8 am
Students should put on black or blue trousers on their presentation day and on field trips
If your child already has the blue Discovery t-shirt from last year and it is in good condition, you do not need to purchase another one

Term Two Tuition Payments
We are now processing Term 2 payments, please contact the School Accountant for more information (finance@discoveryrwanda.org or +25078362783)
Our offices will be open for payment processing until 23rd December 2022, we will then close all offices and reopen for administrative services on Monday 3rd January 2022.
Term 2 access cards will be issued until 3rd January 2022
Kindly ensure that you get a term 2 access card before bringing your child to school on the 4th of January, please wait at least 24 hours before you bring your child, and clear with the finance office first.
At student drop-off, any family at arrival may be requested to present their access card or show proof of tuition payment. Please do not bring your child to school without an access card.
From the 4th to the 30th of January, the administration and finance offices will take appointments only in the afternoons (2-5 pm).
Art and Science Expo Moments From The Past!
Communicating with Discovery Teachers
Parents can contact teachers directly with questions about the learning and well-being of their child, here are a few important guidelines to keep in mind;
Messages can be sent to teachers from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5pm, however, teachers can only respond when they no longer have children in their direct supervision, this could be at the end of the school day
Parents can only call teachers between 4.30 and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Teachers do not work on Saturday and Sunday, we kindly request parents to communicate to staff between Monday and Friday, unless it is an emergency or a serious matter that must be discussed over the weekend and can not wait until Monday
During an emergency or exceptional circumstances, Discovery staff always endeavour to make exceptions and respond to queries as soon as possible
