COVID19 Testing

On Thursday April 15th staff, students or 2 family members (for children aged 4 or below) will be tested for COVID19.

Time and venue: Discovery Campus from 9am to 3pm.

Students aged 4 and below can have 2 proxy adults tested from their household.

Only rapid antigen tests taken at Discovery will be accepted. PCR tests from other approved centres will be accepted.

We request that you carry out this COVID19 testing according to the following guidelines:

1. All children aged 5 and above will be tested for COVID19.

2. Children aged 4 and below can either be tested personally or 2 members of their household will be tested in their place.  The family members must be people they live with and interact with closely, (parents, legal guardians, or siblings).

3. Please remember to bring an identification document for each person who will be tested, to present to the medical personnel.

4. If your child or family member tests positive, you will be informed immediately.

5. Negative results will be shared in batches and may take a few hours to get to you.

When you come to the campus for testing, please be hyper-vigilant with regards to the Covid19 preventative measures. Have your temperature checked on entry, wear a face mask properly, wash/sanitise your hands thoroughly.

Please maintain a safe distance from other Discovery community members when you come for testing.

The tests will be done by Africa Medical Supplier and the cost to you for the COVID19 Rapid Test is 10,000 RWF per test. The amount will be paid directly to the test provider by Mobile Money.

If your child/or family member has a negative PCR test result already, only results from the 12th April onwards will be considered valid. In this exceptional case, send the results directly to your child‘s teacher and copy the admin team on: info@discoveryrwanda.org  or +250781111002. Kindly send the messages by Monday 5pm.

IMPORTANT NOTE
