Parent Update 23rd June 2021
Important End of Term Update
Dear Discovery Parents,
We only have a few days left to the end of the term and in light of COVID19 prevention and a smooth and healthy end of the academic year we will be closing the year with some adjustments:
Tomorrow Friday 25th June 2021 will be the last day of in-person classes. Every child and staff member should put on their Discovery T-shirt or a light blue top to match the latest Discovery t-shirt colour.
Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th will be home learning / online class days. Please note that they will also be half days to allow teachers to prepare end-of-term reports.
Student learning packs will be ready for pick up from Saturday at 1 pm; some classes will only have SeeSaw assignments.
Primary classes will have two zoom sessions; one on Monday 28th and one on Tuesday 29th. Teachers will share their learning schedules via the class whatsapp groups for these 2 days.
End-of-term parent-teacher meetings will be held on Wednesday 30th and Friday 2nd July 2021. Your child's teacher will share an appointment link. The teacher can schedule a Zoom meeting upon a parent's request.
Thursday 1st July 2021 is a public holiday; there will be no classes and school will be closed.
Student portraits/photos will be distributed during the parent meetings with the teacher.
More information about the Discovery Summer Camp will be shared with parents in the coming week.
Thank you for working so well with us throughout this academic year as we have navigated through the challenges of the Covid19 global pandemic as partners in your children’s educational journeys.
We are looking forward to a smooth end to the term and a joyful holiday as we recharge for the coming academic year in September!
