Discovery Club: Rwandan Traditional Dance
Coach: Munyaneza Fidele
Munyaneza Fidele is a Rwandan traditional dance instructor and choreographer.
He is the founder of Inzovu Ndende Cultural Village, which promotes Rwandan culture.
He is an experienced instructor of the following Rwandan dances: Intore; Umushagiriro; Igishakamba; Icumu ry’ubuganza; Ikinimba, Inyakibuye and Nkombo.
Fidele has a decade of experience as a traditional dance instructor in a number of Kigali schools.
He has been a member of Inyamibwa Cultural Troupe since 2010.
Discovery Club: Basket Ball
Coach: Bienvenue Ngandu
Ngandu Bienvenue is a professional basketball coach and former professional basketball player
He is currently an assistant coach with the Rwandan Basketball League title holders, REG BBC.
He has won silverware as a secondary school basketball coach.
From 2007 to 2012, he played as a professional player in Angola, Rwanda, and the DRC.
Since then, he has garnered experience as a professional coach at the senior and youth levels.
Discovery Club: Soccer
Coach: Victor Shyaka
Victor Shyaka is a youth football coach and former professional football player.
Victor holds a C coaching license from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as well as a C coaching license from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)
Victor has been a head coach for multiple youth football clubs and school teams
During his career as a professional player, he played for different first and second division teams in Rwanda, including Police F.C.
From 2007-2009, he was also a player-coach for second division outfit Pepiniere F.C.
Discovery Club: Rwandan Traditional Dance
Coach: Gaelle Izere
Gaelle Izere is an experienced Rwandan traditional dancer.
She specializes in teaching Rwandan dance styles such as Intore, Igishakamba, Nkombo, Umushagiriro, and Ikinimba.
Gaelle is a coach with the acclaimed Inganzo Ngari cultural troupe
She is also a dancer within Rwanda’s national traditional dance ballet, Urukerereza.
Gaelle has taught traditional Rwandan dance at a number of schools in Kigali.
Discovery Club: Ballet
Coach: Evelyne Mukashyaka
Evelyne Mukashyaka is a ballet instructor, performer, and choreographer.
Evelyne is part of the Elite program at Mashirika Performing Arts and Media Company, and she is passionate about impacting young talented dancers in Rwanda.
She started dancing at the age of 15 in a modern dance group called World Changers that performed in churches throughout East Africa.
Evelyne also attended a ballet and contemporary dance training program in 2015.
She then worked as a dance instructor for 4 years ballet, and contemporary dance at City Arts and as a private instructor.
Over the past 2 years Evelyne has trained dance instructors. She has also been working as a dance teacher and choreographer.
She has experience teaching dance classes at various international schools.
Discovery Club: Robotics, Coding and 3D Design
Coach: Samuel Habimana
Samuel Habimana is a STEM instructor specializing in robotics, coding, programming, 3D designing and printing, and the Internet of things.
He holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Computer Engineering, specialized in Software Engineering at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.
For more than 5 years, Samuel has been teaching children aged 5 years and above.
He has worked with multiple Kigali schools and organizations such as the Code Factory, The French Institute and the Kigali Public Library and is passionate about teaching STEM skills to children.
Discovery Club: Taekwondo/Karate
Coach: Pie Byukusenge
Pie is well versed in multiple martial arts like Kung-Fu, Karate,TaeKwondo, and Judo.
Pie Byukusenge is a professional Karate practitioner and instructor
He is a 4th Dan black belt approved by the Rwandan Karate Federation.
He has been a martial arts instructor in several Kigali schools.
