Cooking spray
35 to 40 saltine crackers
1/2 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
8 oz. mini chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Spray a 12x17 baking sheet with nonstick spray.
Place saltine, salt side down, in a single layer on the pan.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan and add the brown sugar. Stir until it becomes bubbly and caramel colored.
Pour the caramel mixture over the saltines.
Bake 3-5 minutes, until the edges become bubbly.
Remove from heat and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Cool on a rack for 5 minutes and then place in the freezer for 15 minutes or until the caramel solidifies.
Break apart and enjoy.
