2 1/2 c. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
16 oz. can of pumpkin
3 1/2 c. flour
2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. ground cloves
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Combine sugar, cream cheese, and butter and mix well until blended.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Blend in pumpkin.
Add dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened. Fold in nuts.
Bake in 3 greased and floured loaf pans at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
Cool 5 minutes on rack and remove from pan(s).
