1 c. butter, at room temperature
2 eggs
1 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
2 t. baking soda
3/4 t. salt
2 t. vanilla extract
3 c. flour
chocolate chips (to taste)
Cream the butter and sugars.
Add one egg at a time and mix.
Add the vanilla extract, salt, and soda. Mix to combine.
Add the flour, one cup at a time, and mix until smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips with a wooden spoon.
Roll into balls and flatten or drop by spoonfuls onto a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 10 minutes or just until edges begin to brown.
Cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before moving to a wire rack.
