8 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
3/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. butter
milk or half and half
salt and pepper to taste
Boil potato cubes in salted water until they are soft. Remove from heat and drain.
Use a potato masher or wooden spoon to mash the potatoes.
Stir in butter, sour cream, and milk or half and half to the desired consistency. You can use a mixer if you like a creamier consistency.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
