- I have made a deal with a 3rd party (e.g. Huawei, LeEco, Dailymotion, etc.) for VICE videos & I need a list of content that fits that deal
- I saw a video that I liked & I want to post it to my country’s VICE Youtube, VICE Facebook, or other local VICE platform
- I am working with an OTT content service (e.g. Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Video, Hulu, etc.)

We have created this list of videos from our library that are clear to distribute to third party platforms or to translate & re-publish on your local digital VICE O&O platforms
The list is updated on a daily basis.
Before we get into the workflow for requesting & receiving videos from the list, there are a few important notes that you MUST review below.

- NOT FOR EDITING - The videos on this list are only for distribution AS IS. This means that absolutely NO EDITS aside from translation & adding Host throws are to be made to these videos!
- If you have a deal that requires you to edit existing video content, please reach out to usrncteam@vice.com as soon as possible! Editing existing videos can require $$ & re-licensing and is NOT a quick process.
- FINAL LEGAL APPROVAL - If requesting for a 3rd party deal, all of the videos on this list must be approved by US Legal counsel for your specific deal. US R&C will handle this - see WORKFLOW section below!
- CONTENT AVAILABILITY - Not all results from this list will be available to you.
- Digital Content - The most readily available, and will require the least amount of approvals.
- Munchies Content - Requires additional approval in order to distribute. Also keep in mind that Munchies videos may require revenue sharing - this is because Munchies videos are produced under a joint venture between VICE & Fremantle.
- VICELAND Content - Cannot be licensed to 3rd parties as individual pieces. There are deals in place across most regions that mean this content is tied up in some form of exclusivity. Requires several layers of approvals for O&O and 3rd party platforms.
- News Content - Digital News content pre-dating VNT is not subject to any overarching restrictions, but VNT and HBO Weekly both are. So, while cleared, they require approvals for distribution.
- REQUESTING VIDEOS NOT ON THE PRE-CLEARED LIST - If you see a video you are interested in, but it is not on the Pre-Cleared List, feel free to send through the details to usrncteam@vice.com separately - we will look into it for you, but please note that Off-List Requests are often not available for distribution.

ALL ENTRIES ARE PULLED FROM MEDIAMORPH. THERE ARE SEVERAL AVAILS CREATED FOR EACH VIDEO ENTRY FOR EACH TERRITORY AND MEDIA THAT IT IS CLEARED FOR. UNTIL YOU FILTER THE LIST DOWN, ALL NUMBERS WILL BE HIGHER THAN WHAT IS ACTUALLY CLEARED.

FOR EXAMPLE: THERE ARE SEVERAL VICE NEWS TONIGHT EPISODES THAT WE BLOCK FROM TURKEY. SO WE GENERATE AVAILS FOR EVERY COUNTRY BUT TURKEY. THE WAY THIS DATA STUDIO IS SET UP, THOSE HOURS ARE COUNTED FOR EACH AVAIL GENERATED. MAKING IT LOOK LIKE VNT HAS THOUSANDS OF HOURS.

You will want to select pieces that are cleared for the territory you are searching in, as well as pieces that are cleared for "WORLDWIDE".

You will want to select the platform type that this content will be airing on, as well as content that is cleared for "All Media".

Select whether your content will be airing on VICE O&O platforms. If so, select both "yes" and "no".
REGARDLESS OF YOUR SEARCH, YOU WILL ALWAYS WANT TO INCLUDE CONTENT THAT IS AVAILABLE FOR "WORLDWIDE", "ALL MEDIA", AND VICE O&O SET TO "NO".

LINE OF BUSINESS
Sorted based on vertical. Some content, like Munchies Guide To, which aired across LOB's, will not be perfectly represented in these categories.
VERTICAL
Represented as they are in the library, except for TV Production, which is changed to VICELAND for clarity.
SERIES
As straightforward as it seems.
PRODUCING OFFICE
Represents the office that published a specific piece, not necessarily the original office that created it.
WORKFLOW

Take a look at the pre-cleared list & pick out the videos you want to request!
Once you've made your selections:
STEP 1 --> Send a request email to USrncteam@vice.com - the request email should include this info:
- VICE office handling the deal (ex: VICE Benelux, VICE Romania, etc)
- Who is the deal with? (ex: NBC Universo, AbemaTV, etc)
- What platform will the videos be airing on? (ex: TV, Online, etc)
- What territories will the videos be airing in? (ex: US only, Worldwide, etc)
- Your video selections from the list - Copy the VL2 ID for videos that you would like to request, and paste into the E-mail. If you have a large selection of videos, you can right click the video list and download as a file. Copy the ID's from there, or send the whole list through.
STEP 2 --> R&C then double checks that your request is OK & sends through the request to US Legal for final approval.
STEP 3 --> Once US Legal gives the OK, you may request the video files from their corresponding Post teams.

UNIQUE DISTRIBUTABLE VIDEOS PER QUARTER
There are several versions of each video that get cleared in our library. This list accounts for the original, unique versions of those videos. Ex: US digital publishes to VV and YT through our library, so there is a separate entry made for each delivery. The VV version is the master, so it shows up on this list. TV and News clearances are often logged in our clearance system retroactively, so more recent quarters will look lower than where they eventually settle.
