Inter-Company Agreements

• When shooting internationally, check for existing VICE offices in destination countries. Inform respective offices of your arrival at least 2 weeks in advance. See Global office info for local contacts.
• If any spending is going through another office, both offices need to be in agreement of the costs and sign off on them via an Inter-Company (InterCo) Agreement.

U.S. Procedure

• Alternatively, if international offices reach out for assistance on a US-based production, please include Sergio in the conversation so an InterCo can be drawn up and properly approved.
• If you need to enlist production help with one of our international offices, please make sure Sergio is cc’d on any outreach emails.

Risk Assessments

• If you’re traveling to conflict areas or areas with high crime, safety or health risks, you must get a risk assessment done. The assessment is done by a third party and in order to give you the best report possible. The more specific information you can provide, the better the risk assessment will be. This is at no extra cost to your shoot, so don’t hesitate to get one if you suspect of any risks along the way. U.S. Procedure: Email sergio.noriega@vice.com with your request and include beat sheet or treatment , calendar and locations.
• OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Sanctions List - This is a federal list of countries and persons that have known terrorist or drug trafficking connections. It is possible to pay a person in these countries, we just need to perform due diligence on background checks. U.S. Procedure: If you’re doing business with anyone residing in these countries (including Cuba) please reach out to Sharbil Nammour. The list is available online here.
