Why do I need A CIO?

We should not be working in any locations or scenarios in which we are not covered by insurance. We are legally responsible should any harm or damage come to our employees, freelancers, equipment and locations. Some scenarios that have brought up insurance questions in the past are: filming with firearms, filming with heavy machinery, filming on private land/locations or watercraft, filming at schools during school hours.

Certificate of Insurance

U.S. Procedure

• Some locations or vendors might require you to send a Certificate of Insurance (COI) over to them before your shoot. This is to show that we have Liability Insurance, Auto Insurance and Worker's Compensation. If you need a COI, email Robert Langdon with the location name and address that needs to go on the certificate. If the location has any specific requests, instructions, or language that is required, please send that information as well. We may need to put a request in directly to our insurance broker; please allow for at least 1 business day turnaround in this case. For any questions on coverage please reach out to Robert Langdon.
