If you are adding music to a video:

• Unless it is super important to the piece, you should use music from JINGLE PUNKS, AUDIO NETWORK, or APM MUSIC
  • VICE NY holds company-wide licenses for use of tracks from these two music libraries in our digital content internationally
  • JP & AN licenses grant ALL MEDIA, WORLDWIDE, IN PERPETUITY rights for tracks
  • APM licenses grant ALL MEDIA EXCLUDING THEATRICAL, WORLDWIDE, IN PERPETUITY

Let's start from the top - how can I tell if my video "branded"?

• Is another company paying VICE to produce it?
• Does it have product placement?
• Did the brand have creative input?
• Is it not even VICE branded?
• Does the Statement of Work (contract that details the relationship between VICE & a client or brand) say that the video is branded?

If you answered yes to any of the above, your project is branded and all music must be separately licensed!

• Any music or branded production must be licensed separately - our blanket agreements with Jingle Punks & Audio Network DO NOT cover branded uses!
