All pieces should be delivered with mid-roll time codes in the metadata section of the relevant VL2 entry

DIGITAL AUDIO DELIVERY

Please take care in organizing elements into an easily understandable layout. When cutting, keep all mic sources (turn volume down on those not working with). Avoid combining elements on tracks, such as VO and SFX on the same track in the timeline.

The following layout is recommended:

1. VO - in studio voice over, if applicable.
2. SYNC Dialog - on camera dialog.
3. SYNC Ambient - on camera ambient natural sound, background dialog, etc.
4. SFX - any library sound effects, most come as a stereo pair.
5. MUSIC - tracks from music libraries, not from on set recordings.

Important notes:

• Keep mic sources unless they are completely blank.
• Enable all disabled regions in timeline and turn volume all the way down if not used. we may need to use these regions in some situations.
• Unlock/enable any tracks or regions.

OMF/AAF EXPORT SPECIFICATIONS

Select the option - Consolidate and Embedded

Audio files should be 48k/24bit

Handles set to 5 seconds (120 frames)

Check any and all boxes concerning KEEP ALL LEVELS

**Please note: Some OMF files fail if larger than 2.0gb. split tracks up by type (VO, SYNC Dialogue etc.) and export multiple OMF files (i.e. tracks 1-4 = OMF1, tracks 5-8 = OMF2, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE: It is especially crucial that all files have the same total run time and are the same frame rate.

• Users will have to download a plugin and send the media thru the web interface. Users should always send the package to themselves, nycpost@vice.com and any other relevant parties. If you have problems using media shuttle please reach out to nick@vice.com
