Yearbook

Our Yearbook is probably the most important archival document about our time at Pearl River High School.  After that comes our homeroom class photos through the years.  While we have most of the home-room photos on our website, we have been missing a digital version of the Yearbook - until now.  Thanks to Bruce Ainsworth, who came forward with a pristine, unmarked copy of the Yearbook, we now have it available on the web.  Class funds paid for the scanning of Bruce's copy, so it's all ours in every sense.

How did Bruce happen to have an extra Yearbook?  It's a nice story, which you can read in the Pirates' Inbox.

Here are the different ways you can view the Yearbook and acquire the files:

1.  Page-turn viewing on the web.

This is the nicest representation. ( It uses a 52 MB file.)   It works for mobile phones and tablets as well.  If you get an error message it may be  a problem with Adobe Flash.  In any case, try another browser or device.  For example, I get an error message on Firefox, but it works with Chrome and Safari 9/4/2020.)  It works on my iPhone, but not on my Pad.  Go figure.

2. Download a PDF file  (3.7 MB)

Your browser may enable you to view this before downloading it.  The quality is much better if you download it and then view it with Adobe Acrobat Reader (most likely already on your computer).

3. Download a high-resolution PDF file.  (111 MB)

This probably the best solution for the long term.  Now you've got the Yearbook on your own computer.

4. Searching the Yearbook

Something very nice about  the PDF files (2. and 3. above). They are searchable!  For example, you can type in your best friend's name (or even your own) and find all the places in the yearbook where that name appears.  Or type in "Basketball."  This is possible after you have downloaded it and are viewing it with Acrobat Reader.

Have fun!  Problems viewing?  Give a shout to the webmaster, who may (or may not) be able to help you, but will certainly try.
