Personal:

I started playing music in bands in 1976, started my own dixieland band, the Sheiks of Dixie, in 1977. In 1979 I started a dance band, the Sultans of Swing.  I've been playing banjo, piano, guitar and washboard in my own and other bands since then.

In 1995 I began work on a series of music compilations that I publish myself.

Between performing and selling/servicing my books, I keep out of trouble.

My only travel is going to banjo conventions as far from home as I can drive in one day, and the annual International Washboard Festival in Logan OH.
