Carole Moore Wiley    1940 -2017

Carole Moore Wiley passed away on May 8, 2017 after a six-year battle with multiple myeloma.   Here are two entries from Carole's web-journal   https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/carolewiley  They were written by her daughter, Tammy.

Mom (Carole Moore Wiley)has been fighting Multiple Myeloma  which is a cancer of the blood for about 6 years. Lately the cancer has been really taking hold so her Doctor at Weil Cornell has recommended she undergo a Stem Cell Transplant. We knew this was coming but the speed this has come upon us is a bit head spinning.  We imagined early December but it looks like it's happening this week. We are fortunate to have so many concerned friends and family and will use this site as a way to keep those that are interested to keep updated on her health and the progress of her treatment. She can check in here and we can read to her on bad days to remind her about all the people that care about her and love her. Thanks for checking in and thank you for your love and support!

May 8, 2017

I am sorry to share the news that mom passed this morning. We are so glad she is at peace because true to form she fought to the end. This has been a remarkable week. Mom's home has been filled with love and life as people came through her house this week, to share the time with her friends and family. Mom put up the most amazing battle against the brutal cancer that eventually took her and she did not go down without a fight. She has lived her life true to her own spirit and encouraged us all to do the same. We will celebrate her life with a party in June and will post details when they are finalized.Love and light to all.

This comment on the web-journal is from Deedee de Roode:

"Thank you so much for sharing so much. All of us who knew her appreciate her living life to the fullest that she could -- and I can't tell you how much we thank you for sharing so much of these last months with us; there's no hurtful memories with us now that you so lovingly brought us into her last struggle.

Much love to you all,

Deedee deRoode"
