Lecturing in English

I believe that to improve the professional qualities of future Ukrainian scientists it is necessary to use English as a medium of instruction in doctoral and master’s degree programs. English is the language of international conferences and prominent peer-reviewed journals, so researchers have to know it proficiently. So, since 2014 I have facilitated active use of English at my university.

“Philosophy in English” Club

I created and have facilitated a “Philosophy in English” club at OHDNU, 2016-Present. The club is for students and faculty who want to improve their skills in both English and philosophy. Club members watch videos of lectures by English-speaking professors from prominent world universities, discuss them and argue their own points of view on the topics.

Facebook Group “Philosophy in Ukraine”

In 2013 I created Facebook group “Philosophy in Ukraine” («Філософія в Україні») that became the largest Ukrainian internet community for philosophers, lecturers of philosophy, and philosophy fans. More than 8,000 members use the group to share information about philosophy, teaching and learning philosophy in Ukraine, and for discussing specific subjects and collaboration. I founded it in 2013 and I continue to be the administrator.

Public Lectures on TV

In 2018 and 2019, I gave twelve public lectures on the themes of philosophy and logic, which were broadcast by local television channels.

Popularization of Philosophy

I consider it important to acquaint a wide circle of people with a philosophical view of the world. To do this, I do not reject propositions to be a speaker in different seminars, workshops, and training sessions outside the university. In these events, I talk about philosophical theories to various people, such as businessmen, youngsters, artists, and others.
