EXPERIENCE OF TEACHING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Since 2015 I have taught international students from post-soviet states, African, Asian and the South America countries who come at Dnipro city to obtain higher education. They have different cultural and learning background, and various levels of fluency in English. These peculiarities have demanded from me researching and applying the pedagogical techniques in the area of active learning and EMI (using English as the medium of instruction for academic subjects).

Particularly, I was the first lecturer in Ukraine to start providing Content and Language Integrated Learning methods (CLIL) in teaching philosophical courses.

I wrote some innovative manuals for instructors in teaching the subjects to students for whom English is a second language. Full text of one of them you can see at the following link: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/326588327

I have disseminated my experience of teaching international students at such international scientific conferences as “Innovations-2016,” Kostanay State University, Kazakhstan, 2016, “Education and Science in the Context of Global Transformations,” Dnipro, Ukraine, 2017.
