Caliente Mini Roulette 2016

Take this Gamble to explore the remote Nevada Mountains

Join us for this 3 day Dual Sport Challenge

April  2016

Hey if you can't come for 3 days then come for 2 and pick the best 2 out of three rides

Ride Description

This is a three day ride to explore some remote corners of Nevada.  This ride is for intermediate and advanced riders only. There will be a mix of scenic stuff and some singletrack and optional tough stuff.  Part of this ride is explorer in nature; come prepared for anything.  This is a Real "Roulette".  The ride will be a mix of old mining roads, some single track, some old race course sections, and some scenic back dirt roads.  You will need a GPS. Yes: there are some Hard and Easy and some unknown options

Sidebar For Fun:  This year the ride will be based in part on the Famous Nevada 200, a 32 year old motorcycle trail ride and race. The other part is based on what I have learned here myself over the last several years.  Thanks " Best in the Desert" for posting an image that I bet you thought no one could use to decipher the gps.  Anyway, score! I have found more cool stuff, should be a great year!

About the Caliente Area:

This is a great remote area of Nevada that is a mix of high desert and mountains.  You can find everything here, from forest riding to fast desert washes.  If you have never been here before, you will understand why people drive so far just to get here.  And because it is remote it is not whooped out or crowded.

Kind of like riding in much of Baja

HEY IF YOU CAN'T GET 3 DAYS OFF, JUST COME FOR 2 DAYS AND CHOOSE THE BEST TWO RIDES FOR YOU.

OK since many of you like to study more detail about the ride, below are the ride maps.

I put these ride maps on the web page because I know a few of you love looking at the ride detail and dreaming about the ride.  At first glance these maps do not look so impressive, but they are way cool.  If you start zooming in, you can see the ride in incredible detail.  I have spent a ton of hours sorting through the details of the ride for each day, so for those of you that enjoy this sort of thing, well enjoy!
