Adventure Bike Ride Around the Best of The Rocky Mountains
This ride is a scenic adventure bike ride. The ride is named Passes and Peaks, because it will include some of the most spectacular passes and peaks in Colorado. This is mostly a paved road ride with some graded dirt roads. There are some options for rougher dirt roads over some passes. But keep in mind this is not a tough ride; it is meant to be a scenic adventure ride.
Here is a ride invitation video that I had a little fun making
Yes, I had a lot of fun dreaming up this ride, I can't wait to ride it.
Here is a overview map of all our route, the red are the optional hard routes, and green is easy ways
About the Ride:
This is a 7 day adventure bike ride making a big loop around the State. We will be staying in 4 different hotels during the week. The ride will focus on the great sights in Colorado. Some riders may truck there bikes to the start of the ride and then leave their vehicles at the beginning of the ride for the week. We will be eating in restaurants during the week, so no need to bring cooking equipment or food. The riding should be easy and scenic, but some days may be long. There are some route choices for those that would like some more challenging options. This is a good ride for people riding two up, but you should be skilled riders as there are dirt sections. We will spend 2 night in 3 of the 4 hotels, that means that 3 of the days we will be doing loop rides from our hotel, therefore if some riders need a break day it is possible.
Come prepared for the possibility of wet and cold weather. While it is likely that the weather will be great, we will be exploring some high elevation and the weather can turn quickly during the day. Carry rain gear everyday.
Come Prepared to Have Fun and Meet Great People

How does the ride Navigation work?
This is a self-led GPS ride; all riding is on your own. You are responsible for your own riding. You will be given a GPS map file and instruction on how to use your Garmin GPS unit. People will hook up in small groups of less than 6 riders and tend to ride together. You are not encouraged to ride alone. You are responsible for your own riding and yourself.
