Friday 9/17/2004: This is the long day, The idea here is that we split into two groups. Group A will ride the Trail to the South Canyonlands (65miles, 3 hours), while Group B will take a Truck to the same area. Then Both Groups will ride the “Elephant Hill and Colorado Overlook” trail (35miles, 2hours). Then we will all have lunch at the “Needles Outpost”. Then Group B will take the Trail back to the North Canyonlands, while Group A returns in the truck. A few riders may elect to ride both ways but that would be a very very long ride. This plan will require an early start (7:30am). We will need at least two volunteers to drive the truck.
