B-MAZE Runabout

This is an all pavement ride around the back roads of northern San Diego County. The ride is very scenic and designed to let you have fun with your GPS and to get to know and trust your GPS unit.

The ride starts in Rancho Bernardo at the Starbucks. We will wind our way through the corners of Rancho Bernardo and Poway up into Ramona. From Ramona it the backway through Escondido and into Valley Center to Lake Wohlford for lunch.

After lunch it is the backway through Valley Center and over to the Pala Mission

Then it is the over to Rainbow where the ride ends at Rainbow Oaks Cafe

Ride Over.

This is a GPS training ride (Level 2)

New riders will be given instruction on how to use your gps at the beginning of the ride. Riders will then practice their navigation skill during the ride. This is a level 2 GPS ride which means that each rider will be given a different path to follow. We will all be meeting up at checkpoints, but riders will be navigating on their own between the checkpoints. As this is a training ride, we will have riders to help and support the new navigators. So this is a great opportunity to come and learn, or just come for the fun and help the new GPS riders.

I put these ride maps on the web page because I know a few of you love looking at the ride detail and dreaming about the ride. At first glance these maps do not look so impressive, but they are way cool. If you click the Earth or Satellite tab and start zooming in, you can see the ride in incredible detail. I have spent a ton of hours sorting through the details of the ride for each day, so for those of you that enjoy this sort of thing, well enjoy!
