San Diego M2D 2015

Scooters Across America Team Presents:

San Diego County Two-day Ride Mountains to Deserts

This 2 day discovery ride explores the Mountains and Deserts of San Diego County. The ride is targeted at scooters with a slower, relaxed pace. The ride includes parts of the Cleveland National Forest, Mount Palomar, Anza Borrego Desert State Park and the Laguna Mountains. We will spend Saturday evening near Julian at the Pine Hills Lodge.

"This is kind of a reunion ride for those riders that rode their Scooter Across America, however new riders are welcome and can come and join the fun and meet new riders. Part of this ride will include dreaming of new scooter adventures for the future. The ride is targeted at scooters of 150cc."

FAQs

Q: If I am coming from out of the county and want to truck my scooter to the ride, where can I leave my truck?

A: You can leave your vehicle in the parking area at the ride stage, it is a "Park and Ride" lot.

Download the GPS and Handout Map for the ride

Note: In the Download window, select the down arrow in the top middle of the screen. That will get you everything.

To install your Custom Garmin Ride Map, get a blank SD card, and copy the folder "garmin" to the card. Then just put the card into your gps and the map should be there when you turn your gps on.

Note the download includes a jpg file for printing your own paper map: Folder "8x10 Map Prints"

FAQ: What garmin folder? The folder named garmin should have the "gmapsupp.img" file inside. If you just downloaded the "gmapsupp.img" file, then you need to create a folder on your SD card named "garmin" and put the "gmapsupp.img" file inside it.
