About this ride

This ride is designed for large adventure bikes. Riders will be staying in hotels each night. This ride will include a support chase truck. Riders may put their gear into the support truck and ride with only the gear they need for easy day.

This 4 week ride is broken roughly into 4 basic sections:

  • Week 1 is riding through Canada to Fairbanks Alaska. Part of the route is on the Alaska HWY and Robert Campbell HWY

  • Week 2 is riding from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle and Prudhoe Bay and back to Fairbanks and Anchorage. This route is mostly dirt following the Dalton Highway.

  • Week 3 riding south of Anchorage on the Kenai Peninsula and catching the ferry to Valdez then riding across lower Alaska to Haines. This week we explore Alaska at the ocean interface.

  • Week 4 is taking the Inland Passage Ferry back to the lower 48 states.

Things to Understand

This is mostly a paved road ride, perfect for larger adventure bikes. There are some long section of dirt highway but they are all graded and have large truck running on them too.

I have structured this ride to be more scenic then tough riding, while there are some long days, most will allow you plenty of time to enjoy yourself. This is more about exploring then riding.

The weather can change quickly so you need to carry full gear with you everyday just in case.

You need to carry and use bug spray with DEET,bugs can be bad, but if you use DEET it will not be a problem

Options:

Some rider may want to invite their wives to join the last part of the ride. Rider may be able to have their wives fly into anchorage then ride with them for several days, then join the Inland passage Ferry ride back to the USA. Riders need to work with me directly to work this plan out.

Signup info:

The cost to join this ride is $5875. This covers your lodging for the 27 nights during the ride and Ferry passage from Whittier to Valdez, and From Haines to Bellingham for one rider and motorcycle. It also covers the support truck fees. This also covers your ride packets which include a custom Garmin GPS Map on a micro SD card and printed ride maps and descriptions.

Note: Signup for this ride is not like my other rides. In Alaska many folks do business differently. Some require that I pay in full to make reservations, some are non refundable. So after I have your commitment and signup deposit I will make the reservations. It is to everyone's advantage for you to decide and signup and commit earlier rather than later, because the longer we wait the higher chance that I will not be able to get the required reservation for you. If you signup and I can no longer get the reservations, I will refund your deposit.

Hey, this is a great big deal ride, if you have questions you should email me: gpsKevin@gmail.com and then we should chat.

Ride Signup Deposit $500

Why is the price high, Sorry I wished it could be cheaper to adventure around Alaska, but the sad fact is that everything there is expensive, All the lodging is expensive, one night I have to pay $300 per room, and the Ferries are outrageous, costing over $2000 for each person motorcycle, and the cost of having a support truck follow us adds up, so frankly $5875 is a bargain for a month's adventure. But I wished it was less. gpsKevin

Refund Policy

Do not sign up for this ride unless you are serious about coming. I take your signup very seriously and start planning for you the minute you sign up. If you need to cancel up to one month prior to the ride start date I will give you a full refund but I will keep $100 to cover the planning work. Sorry but I make non refundable commitments myself so it gets hard for me. "I hate this world of non refundable deals myself." If you need to cancel within one month of the ride I cannot give a refund unless I can find a replacement rider. In the case of finding a replacement rider, I will gladly give you the full refund minus the $100 to cover the planning work. In the event of ride cancellation, you will be given a full refund.
