This was about the four capacities of self. The 4 capacities of self were; Physical self, personal self, thinking self, and spiritual Self. These play a role in everyone's daily lives to help. They function and to be them. One main thing that is important is knowing who you are and where you come from. This is a story I can relate to because this is something I do and hear stories about.

This story was about popular places and their names. These names are the names of the white colonizers that took land. So I think that it even gives them more power and they get more respect. The traditional places have memory and history behind them. We try to protect our land and places with our hearts.

Encamped in America, 2020
In this article it states that “the homeless crisis is getting worse”. Some of them stay in a place called encampments, these are pretty common in parks or other public places. This crisis is leading to more people trying to find a place to sleep. It is stated that the homeless are trying to find a house more than anything. Some major setbacks that they have or struggle with is mental illness, addiction and many things so it says that these are less significant. Some homeowners don't really like to make low incoming houses because it will change the makeup of their communities or reduce the value of the homes.

The city of Albuquerque is having a debate on if they like the encampments or not. It seemed like the people didn't like it because they didn't have access to the public parks. The city people had an outcry with signs saying they don't want the city to be a “no tent city”. It is stated that “ the city has put a lot into this and the city sanction camps is the idea that rose to the top”. The people in the city council are trying to make a move but they don't really have much support.

My action plan took place on November 11 and12th. I had a food drive to raise awareness for homeless. So I sent out a text to a group chat of family and friends around my community. I asked if they had any donations to give to help out the homeless. On these days I went around collecting what was offered. these were the people that helped with donations and gifts.

"trash on the sidewalk in Los Angles" 2019
In this article it shows the number of homeless people around the world and from each continent. Also it is estimated that no less than 150 million people are homeless and that is about 2% of the world's population. Habitat for Humanity has shown that 1.6 billion people lived in “inadequate shelter” this is the number of people that are struggling to find a stable house. In China there are over 1.351 billion people living here and out of that 1.3 billion, 200 million people are considered homeless. In China you might see people in the streets but not as much because the Chinese authorities are very strict with them. It's not commonly seen in the perception of the homeless as a shame or taboo in Chinese society.
