• COOKIE DOUGH ARRIVES!  Pick up your orders between 3:30 and 6:00 p.m.  Details below.

WEDNESDASY, OCT. 15 - Predator vs. Prey Day

THURSDAY, OCT 16 - Decades Day:  Marching Band (outside), 3:45 - 5:45 p.m.; Homecoming Bonfire (drumline + pep band only) afterwards

FRIDAY, OCT. 17 - Fan Friday:  FOOTBALL vs. Savannah, report 5:30 p.m.

COOKIE DOUGH PICKUP

Everyone who sold cookie dough should plan to pick up their product after school on Monday.  Please come before 6pm.  DO NOT SEND YOUR CUSTOMERS TO THE BAND ROOM!  YOU must pick up the cookie dough and deliver it to your customers.  The band will not issue refunds to your customer if you mess up the delivery, so any refund will have to come out of your pocket.

Did  you sell at least 5 items?  If so, you're invited to the pizza party after practice on October 30th.

ATTENDANCE AT SECTIONALS IS REQUIRED

Attendance at sectionals is required!  If you cannot attend, call or text the Band Hotline just as you would for any other rehearsal.  The number is (912) 549-0262.

HOMECOMING BONFIRE - Thursday

A list of people participating in the Homecoming Bonfire will be posted on Monday.  Free pizza will be provided after practice for those individuals, then we will go and participate in the bonfire, which starts at 7pm.

ONLINE POPCORN FUNDRAISER STARTS OCTOBER 27th

We have one more really easy fundraiser for this season.  It's all online.  All you have to do is create a Pop-Up Store and sell Double Good Popcorn.  We keep 50% of all sales, and the popcorn ships directly to buyers.  (That means no deliveries!)  Prices start at $11. The popcorn is award-winning and really delicious!

This awesome fundraiser only works if students and families PARTICIPATE!

What you need to do ON October 27th:  Send out a link to your online store and encourage everyone you know to support the SCHS Band by buying delicious popcorn.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST - Oct. 30

We will have a costume contest during our rehearsal on Thursday, October 30th.  Come to rehearsal in a costume you can rehearse in.  Obviously, your costume must be school appropriate!   There will be candy for everyone who participates!

MARCHING BAND COMPETITIONS

We will compete twice this season:

• Saturday, September 27th:  "Band Blast" at Southeast Bulloch HS. (DONE!  Straight Superiors)

• Saturday, October 25th:  East Georgia Marching Band Championships at Statesboro HS. 

Competition days are an all-day affair, so please plan accordingly.

We typically have three parades each year:

• Saturday, December 13:  Christmas Parade

• Saturday, January  17:  MLK Parade

• Saturday, April 4:  Livestock Parade
