The SCHS Band is hosting a Community-Wide Black History Month Program on Tuesday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the SCHS Auditorium. This is the first of what we hope will be an annual event. The program will feature the SCGMB Gospel Choir, the SCHS Jazz Band, and the SCES 5th Grade Drama Club. Admission is FREE. Please help us spread the word!
Our LGPE Performance in Savannah will be on SATURDAY, MARCH 11. This is our annual concert band evaluation, and it is very important. The itinerary for this performance is below.
We only have FOUR after-school rehearsals before LGPE, and each one is important. Please make those rehearsals a priority, and be sure to communicate if you cannot attend one.
According to the travel company, Wednesday is the last day to sign up for the trip.
If you signed up for a solo but did not pay, you can pay your $6 in the front office.
If you have not yet selected a solo to play, let's get that done this week. I can help you any day before school. I ordered some solo books that just came in on Friday, so hopefully one of those will work for you. (If I loaned you a book on Friday, please bring it back!)
When you need to send a message, please text the Band Hotline at (912) 549-0262. You can no longer reply to announcements sent via Remind. If you text the Band Hotline, I will try to respond as soon as I can. (Note that I cannot usually respond immediately if I receive a message while I am teaching a class.)
