October Monday rehearsals are TBA
These rehearsals are 3:30 until 5 p.m.
Our next Band Booster meeting is Tuesday, October 1. The time was changed to 6:00 p.m. Students are welcome to attend booster meetings WITH AN ADULT. This meeting is extremely important because we will discuss details of our spring trip to Florida.
When you stay after school for rehearsals, please stay out of the bus pickup area until 3:30. As soon as the bell rings at the end of 7th period, make your way to the Band Room.
Students are welcome to stay in the Band Room between 3:15 (the end of school) and report time. On game days, you must either leave campus or come directly to the Band Room after school. Students who stay must remain in the Band Room area. SCHS Administration will send students home if they are wandering around the main school building on Friday afternoons.

Q: Can I wear Crocs for marching band outdoor rehearsals after school?
A: NO. Marching Band is an athletic activity, and Crocs are not appropriate, even in "action mode." (It is impossible to roll step correctly while wearing Crocs or any other type of sandal.)
Q: Can I wear blue jeans for marching band outdoor rehearsals after school?
A: NO. Marching Band is an athletic activity, and blue jeans are not appropriate wear.

A: Always have your dot sheet (in a plastic sleeve, with a lanyard around your neck), a pencil, and your instrument/equipment. Most people like to bring WATER, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Q: What do I do if I need to miss a rehearsal?
A: Contact Mr. Carter. The best way to do that is by email at hank.carter@screven.k12.ga.us. (Guard members may contact Mr. von Waldner instead.) Do NOT ask another student to tell us.
Q: What is our rehearsal schedule? Is the band playing at the football game? What time do I need to be at school? Etc. etc.?
A: All of this (and much, much more!) can be found on the band's Google Calendar. Scroll up to see the calendar; scroll down to find out how you can link it to your own Google stuff.
