LGPE stands for Large Group Performance Evaluation, and it is our annual assessment for our Symphonic Band. This year's Evaluation will be on Friday, March 13. Our performance is at 12:30 p.m. at the GSU Armstrong Campus in Savannah. Our full itinerary appears below:
We had a great first meeting of Officer Candidate School on Friday. OCS is for any current marching band members (including all first-year members) who are interested in a leadership position for the 2020-2021 season, and it's not too late to join! We especially need more 9th graders! Our next meeting is Friday, February 21, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Jazz Band is open to ANY and ALL instruments! If you're interested, plan to attend a quick meeting after Symphonic Band on Thursday, March 5th. Our first rehearsal is Tuesday, March 17, after school. See the band calendar for more information.
Band Buddies is a program we started last year in which SCHS Band members buddy up with an SCMS Band member who plays a similar instrument. We do this once every other week after school at SCMS. We have a session today (Feb. 24); our next session is Monday, March 23.
Our next Band Booster meeting is Tuesday, March 3, at 6:00 p.m. Students are welcome to attend booster meetings WITH AN ADULT.
