Scratchboard

I am calling this project Boston Skyline, because i took this picture in Boston. This subject is a landscape scratchboard based off a panoramic photo. I chose to create this specific work because i wanted it to represent, the experience and the views on Boston. For materials, I used a piece of scratchboard paper and and scratching tools. I used a variety of techniques and methods including outlining and cross hatching. While creating this work I paid close attention to value, texture, shape, and form. I did this by trying to make the most accurate representation of Boston. I wanted my art to detailed and to do that I made really small lines of different shades. To add interest to my composition I used balance. I like the way my end product turned out. however i struggled with making the buildings and the skyline different.
