The ideas in my head when I saw the ink drops on the paper was a duck pond, or at least a pond of some sort. I had a really hard time trying to come up with what I could turn the dots into something related to a pond. I finally decided to paint a birds eye view of a pond. the ideas are pretty evident in my work as I hope you can see the ducks, the log, and the assortment of the lily pads and the rocks. there really isn't much of a story but more of just the only thing that popped into my head was a pond. This project relates to my life because i have a pond at my house and there are a lot of lily pads. i didn't even outline anything i just started painting. I started with the water as the background, and then once that was was dry i went over everything and added the rocks and the lily pads and more ducks. The process I used was just using water color to add detail to the painting. My work evolved a lot because it started as just a bunch of ink blots and then turned into a duck pond. I think my next steps could be adding shadows to the ducks. and making it look more like a duck pond.
