Pumpkins

Our class had the pleasure of carving pumpkins for Camp Sunshine and displaying them at the L.L Bean. I carved a traditional Jack-o'-lantern face and and the back used a linoleum carver to carve a bunch of designs in the back. I used Black charcoal to draw out my designs before I carved them. I shaved out flowers and a picture of a landscape on the back. I was going for kind of an alter ego look, like all spooky in the front but in that back all happy and bubbly. It was hard for me to show detail because it was a pumpkin, but I like how it turned out. I am proud of myself for experimenting with new tools. I am proud of myself for how closely I paid attention to detail.
