Beautiful Oops

Hi my name is Nora. Our assignment was to take a piece of paper with an ink drop on it and turn it into something. The title of my artwork is Irma. I created a landscape drawing/ map of hurricane Irma. I used graphite and Sharpie to create my drawing. I used drawing, shading, and outlining. I tired to show value, texture, space and shape in my drawing. I incorporated balance and contrast in my work. I tried to make this drawing resemble the weather patterns on Hurricane Irma. I am very proud of myself for creating something with such a strong message. By doing this project I learned how to fill the extra negative space in my drawing. In future pieces of my art I hope to use charcoal, and oil pastel to improve my skills, I added my own style by modifying the states a little bit.
