Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech: What is it? Freedom of speech is the right to express yourself without being held back. This right is written in The First Amendment. People use this gift as a way to lead a movement and make a difference, leaving behind a legacy. However, there are people who abuse it.

Just because you are able to speak your mind, do not disrespect anyone. People tend to feel as if it’s ok to blackmail or attack someone because of their different opinions, and use the ‘freedom of speech card." Will that affect the world positively or negatively? Is this what we want to teach our children and future generations? No. Some ways we can honor our Freedom of Speech are by thinking before speaking and being respectful. Make it beneficial, not a curse. We are the new generation that will change America and the world for the better.
